Since our founding in 1823 , we hold the evangelical faith on the basis of the authority of Scriptures and believe in the liberty of conscience for every Christian.
We believe Baptism by immersion is administered to believers only on profession of faith. But we are aware that there are circumstances which may prevent immersion. As Baptists the Lord's Supper is celebrated in obedience to Christ's command- "This do in remembrance of me." Jesus is the true Head of the Church. The members, as the Body of Christ, have the right to manage and control church business and appoint leaders. The government of a Baptist Church is democratic.
The core of our belief is to share God's love through the gospel of Jesus Christ and by being visible in our community as passionate as we can through the range of activities we’re involved in. Through all of our endeavours we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.
